Izvleček
V prispevku predstavljamo rezultate študije o povezanosti med vzgojnimi slogi in podporo staršev ter uravnavanjem čustev pri učencih z njihovo vlogo pri medvrstniškem nasilju (MVN). V raziskavi sta sodelovala 202 učenca 7. in 8. razredov s 14 slovenskih osnovnih šol, ki so izpolnili baterijo vprašalnikov v e-obliki. Avtoritativni slog starševstva je bil negativno povezan z izvajanjem vseh oblik MVN pri učencih, avtoritarni pa pozitivno z izvajanjem in doživljanjem MVN ter negativno z zmožnostjo uravnavanja čustev. Učenci s slabšo zmožnostjo uravnavanja čustev so bili bolj verjetno vključeni v medvrstniško nasilje v vseh vlogah. Na koncu podajamo nekaj praktičnih implikacij za starše in učitelje.
Abstract
Bullying: Correlation between Parenting Styles and Support and Student Emotion Regulation
This paper summarises the findings of a study on the correlation between parenting styles and support and student emotion management, along with their role in bullying. The study comprised 202 seventh and eighth graders from 14 Slovenian primary schools who completed a battery of e-form questionnaires. Whereas the authoritarian parenting style was negatively associated with bullying perpetration in all forms, the authoritative style was positively associated with bullying perpetration and its experience and negatively associated with the ability to regulate emotions. Students who struggled to control their emotions were more likely to engage in bullying, whatever their role. Finally, we discuss some practical implications for parents and teachers.
