Medpredmetno povezovanje predstavlja celosten didaktični pristop, pri katerem gre za horizontalno in vertikalno povezovanje znanj, ciljev in vsebin ter učnih spretnosti. Medpredmetno povezovanje učnih vsebin predstavlja temelj uspešnega in učinkovitega dela, ki se odraža na predznanju, visoki motivaciji in večji pripravljenosti učencev za delo. Pomembno je, da znotraj samega vzgojno-izobraževalnega procesa uvedemo različne strategije, da je učno okolje spodbudno in učinkovito, da omogočimo otrokom razvoj veščin učenja, jim damo možnost ustvarjanja novih idej in celostno spoznavanje učne stvarnosti. Pri pouku na daljavo smo na različne načine iskali preplete učnih ciljev in vsebin, didaktične elemente, s katerimi smo lahko poglabljali in razvijali strategije učenja, ki so bile za učence privlačne in zanimive. Medpredmetno povezovanje je tudi pri pouku na daljavo doprineslo k vsebinski racionalnosti, pouk je bil učinkovitejši in zanimiv, krepila se je samozavest, zelo dobro so utrdili znanje, saj smo Slovenijo in njene naravne enote spoznavali iz različnih zornih kotov, v okviru različnih učnih predmetov in vsebin ter na ta način doprinesli k boljši učni uspešnosti.

Abstract

Cross-Curricular Integration in Distance Learning

Cross-curricular integration is a holistic didactic approach that promotes horizontal and vertical integration of knowledge, objectives, content, and learning skills. Cross-curricular integration of learning content contributes to adequate prior knowledge, high motivation and increased eagerness to learn, all of which provide a solid foundation for successful and effective work. It is most important to introduce a variety of strategies within the educational process itself in order to make learning environments stimulating and effective, enable children to develop learning skills, give them opportunities to generate new ideas, and enhance holistic understanding of their learning reality. Remote learning has necessitated new ways of combining learning objectives with learning content and the search for those didactic elements that enable us to employ attractive and interesting learning strategies. Cross-curricular integration contributed to the rationalization of learning content during remote learning. Consequently, lessons were more effective and engaging. The students’ self-esteem was boosted and their knowledge was reinforced as they learned about Slovenia and its geographical units from multiple perspectives. The students benefitted from discovering connections between different content areas, which in turn improved their learning achievement.
