Vpliv glasbe na otroke s težjo in težko motnjo v duševnem razvoju

Prispevek nam približa spoznanja o učinkovitosti izbranih glasbenih dejavnosti pri razvijanju socialnih veščin otrok z motnjami v duševnem razvoju. Glasba otrokom z motnjo v duševnem razvoju pomeni sredstvo za pomoč pri razvijanju celostnega razvoja, kamor sodijo tudi socialne veščine, ki jih otroci z motnjo v duševnem razvoju ne usvojijo spontano, ampak se jih morajo naučiti postopno. Z vključevanjem glasbenih dejavnosti pri razvijanju socialnih veščin otrok z motnjami v duševnem razvoju smo v okviru magistrskega dela na Pedagoški fakulteti v Ljubljani izvedli petnajst srečanj v zavodu za vzgojo in izobraževanje otrok s posebnimi potrebami. Naš cilj je bil s pomočjo glasbenih dejavnosti razvijati specifične socialne veščine v skupini otrok s težjo in težko motnjo v duševnem razvoju, ki so vključeni v posebni program vzgoje in izobraževanja. Obenem pa smo pri njih želeli z glasbenimi dejavnostmi dvigniti raven glasbenega izražanja in izražanja prijetnih čustev.

Abstract

Effect of Music Intervention on Children with Severe or Profound Intellectual Disabilities

This paper presents findings on the effectiveness of specific musical activities in the development of social skills in children with intellectual disabilities. The use of music promotes the holistic development of children with intellectual disabilities, including their social skills, which do not develop naturally and must be learned gradually. As part of our master‘s thesis at the Faculty of Education in Ljubljana, we conducted fifteen meetings in a special needs institution in order to integrate musical activities in the development of social skills in children with intellectual disabilities. Our goal was to develop specific social skills through musical activities in a group of children with severe and profound intellectual disabilities included in a special education programme. At the same time, we wanted to raise the level of musical expression and the expression of pleasant emotions through musical activities.
