Povzetek

Prispevek govori o začetnih korakih za trajnostni razvoj v Vrtcu Pedenjped Novo mesto. Predstavlja naš razmislek o pojmu trajnostnega razvoja, o naši vlogi pri realizaciji trajnostnih vsebin v vzgojnem delu in vodenju za trajnostni razvoj. V prispevku predstavljamo dejavnosti, ki nam jih je že uspelo uresničiti tako na ravni celotnega vrtca kakor tudi na ravni posameznih enot ter v sodelovanju z lokalno skupnostjo. Obenem predstavljamo izhodišča za dejavnosti z otroki in pojasnjujemo, kako smo otrokom približali pojem trajnostnega razvoja. Velik poudarek namenjamo tudi vlogi določenih posameznikov, ki so s svojim načinom življenja in življenjsko filozofijo obogatili naše delo in postavili temelje nadaljnjim dejavnostim, hkrati pa s svojim zgledom spodbudili nekatere ostale strokovne delavce k sodelovanju. S predstavitvijo primerov dobre prakse oziroma uspelih projektov prikazujemo, kako se razvijajo dobre ideje. Prispevek zaključujemo z razmislekom, katere lastnosti bi moral imeti vodja za trajnostni razvoj in kako vidimo vlogo strokovnih delavcev za trajnostni razvoj v našem vrtcu v prihodnjih letih.

We respect, protect and preserve; let us create a green Pedenjped Kindergarten

The article discusses the initial steps for sustainable development in Pedenjped Kindergarten Novo mesto. It presents our reflection on the concept of sustainable development, on our role in the realization of sustainable topics in education and leadership for sustainable development. The article presents the already implemented activities both within the entire kindergarten as well as at the level of individual units and in cooperation with the local community. The background of the activities for children is presented. It is explained how the concept of sustainable development was presented to children. Considerable emphasis is also put on the role of certain individuas who, with their way of life and their life philosophy, have enriched our work and laid the foundation for further activities. At the same time, they by example inspired some other professionals to participate. Examples of good practice and successful projects explain how good ideas are developed. In conclusion, the article reflects on what qualities a leader for sustainable development should have and how we see the role of education staff for sustainable development in our kindergarten in the coming years.
