Abstract

Collaborative Online Classroom as a Way to Implement Formative Assessement in Geography Class

The purpose of the article is to give an example of how ICT can be used to more easily and effectively implement each formative assessement step. Today, we have a number of different applications at our disposal to develop different competences or geography skills. ICT can also facilitate access to various information sources such as documents, images or videos. Teachers use computer applications in order to achieve more complex learning objectives, but this may not be the best solution for students as they rarely go back and view the content or product after they have finished using the application. A better solution would be to set up an online classroom to collect and share content, and provide feedback. There are a number of platforms for creating online classrooms, and the article presents one of them – Microsoft Teams Collaborative Classroom, part of Microsoft Office, which is provided free-of-charge to all teachers by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.
