Slepi in slabovidni učenci kot udeleženci v medvrstniškem nasilju

Izvleček

Namen prispevka je predstaviti izsledke študije o medvrstniškem nasilju pri slepih in slabovidnih mladih odraslih, ki so bili vključeni v redne šole, in sicer v času osnovno- in srednješolskega izobraževanja. V raziskavi smo se osredotočili na vloge, vrste, situacije in posledice pojavljanja medvrstrniškega nasilja pri teh učencih. V vzorcu je bilo 17 oseb, od katerih smo pridobili podatke prek polstrukturiranih intervjujev. Pokazalo se je, da so vsi slepi in slabovidni doživljali medvrstniško nasilje, pri čemer so bili v osnovni šoli izpostavljeni predvsem verbalnemu, v srednji šoli pa odnosnemu nasilju. Sami so nasilje izvajali v bistveno manjši meri. Nasilje v šoli so najpogosteje doživljali pri pouku in v neformalnih situacijah (med odmori). Najpogostejše posledice nasilja pa so udeleženci občutili na emocionalnem in osebnostnem področju.

Abstract

Blind and Visually Impaired Students as Participants in Bullying

This paper presents the findings from research on bullying among blind and visually impaired adolescents attending mainstream primary and secondary schools. The study focused on the roles, types, contexts and repercussions of peer violence in these students. The data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with 17 participants. It emerged that all of the blind and vision-impaired students had experienced bullying, mainly verbal violence in primary school and relational violence in secondary school. They themselves perpetrated violence to a far lesser extent. The most frequent incidents of school violence occurred during lessons and in informal situations such as breaks. However, the most frequently experienced consequences of violence were emotional and personal.
