Abstract
Seminar Paper – Mirror of Information Literacy
This paper presents an example of introducing certain elements of formative assessment into the implementation of library and information knowledge under compulsory elective subjects. The lesson was carried out in the second year on the topic of the knowledge and revision of rules for writing a seminar paper. Even though secondary school students are acquainted with the basics of drafting a seminar paper in the first year, they occasionally needed an additional explanation when filling out the worksheet, especially with regard to the quoting and citing of sources. Both are used by secondary school students, but not always consistently and often insufficiently, which is why the idea to revise the drafting of a seminar paper turned out to be sensible and useful. In the conclusion the author briefly reflects on the use of formative assessment in the implemented lesson.
