Učni sklop Grško gledališče in rimski cirkus ter Gradbeništvo Rimljanov in Grkov (izbirna tema Antična kultura) v 7. razredu omogoča raznolike pristope k obravnavi, uporabo številnih metod in oblik dela v razredu. V sprotni pripravi prikazani način sodelovalnega učenja v skupinah je nadgrajen s prvinami formativnega spremljanja. Izpostavljeni so naslednji elementi: preverjanje predznanja, oblikovanje ciljev učenja in opredelitev kriterijev uspešnosti, načrtovanje strategije oziroma učnih nalog, ki spodbujajo razmišljanje in ustvarjalnost ter omogočajo napredovanje v smeri ciljev, angažiranost učencev pri skupinskem delu, zbiranje dokazov učenja, zagotavljanje povratnih informacij ter samoevalvacija ali premislek o tem, kako učinkoviti so bili učenci pri delu.

Example of Discussing the Elective Topic of Ancient Culture (Ancient Greek Theatre and Roman Circus, Ancient Roman and Greek Construction) Following the Principles of Formative Assessment

The learning unit Ancient Greek Theatre and Roman Circus and Ancient Roman and Greek Construction (elective topic of Ancient Culture) in the 7th grade enables diverse approaches to discussion, and the use of numerous methods and types of work in the classroom. The method of cooperative learning in groups, which is presented in the lesson plan, has been upgraded with elements of formative assessment. The following elements have been highlighted: testing prior knowledge; shaping learning objectives and defining success criteria; planning the strategy or learning tasks which stimulate thinking and creativity and enable progress towards the set objectives; engaging the students during group work; collecting evidence of learning; providing feedback; self-evaluation or reflection on how effective the work of the students was.
