Branje je ena izmed temeljnih veščin, ki jo razvijamo v osnovni šoli. Pri motiviranju za branje ubiramo različne poti. V prispevku pokažem, kako smo prek branja pravljic in temeljitega pogovora o njih decembra učencem vzbujali zanimanje za branje leposlovja. K branju smo pritegnili starejše učence, ki so usvojili metodo priprave na bralni dogodek in uspešno izpeljali branje mlajšim učencem. Učenci, ki smo jim brali, so po prijetnem doživetju raje obiskovali knjižnico in si večkrat izposodili gradivo.

Fairy Tale December in School Library

Reading is one of the basic skills being developed in primary school. We choose different paths when motivating pupils to read. This paper shows how we were making pupils interested in reading fiction through reading fairy tales and discussing them in depth in December. We attracted older pupils to read; they learnt how to prepare for a reading event and successfully read to younger pupils. The pupils that had been read to liked visiting the library more after that pleasant experience, and borrowed material more often.
