Med številkami in knjigami: matematična delavnica v knjižnici

Izvleček

V šolskem letu 2024/25 smo se v sklopu izbirnega predmeta matematična delavnica z učenci 7. razreda medpredmetno povezali s knjižnico. Za učence je najbolj pomembno, če lahko vidijo uporabnost matematike na konkretnem primeru in kako se povezuje z drugimi predmeti. Večkrat sva se s knjižničarko že pogovarjali in razmišljali, kako bi lahko povezali matematiko in knjižnico. Kaj hitro sva se strinjali, da se bodo učenci izbirnega predmeta lotili oblikovanja COBISS-lokatorja. Najprej nam je knjižničarka razložila, kaj lokator sploh je in zakaj služi, potem nam je pokazala uporabo še v praksi. Učenci so si najprej podrobno pogledali knjižnico in naredili načrt, kako se bodo zadeve lotili. Na list papirja so naredili izris šolske knjižnice in dodali vse potrebne elemente. Potem so vse to prenesli v elektronsko obliko. Pri tem so nujno potrebovali pomoč knjižničarke, saj je bilo za posamezno polico treba vpisati interno oznako, UDK, ime avtorja in dodaten opis.

Abstract

ReadforReal – We Read with Europe

In the 2024/2025 school year, as part of the elective subject Mathematics Workshop, seventh-grade students collaborated with the school library in an interdisciplinary project. For the students, it is most important to see the practical application of mathematics in concrete examples and how it connects with other subjects. The mathematics teacher and the librarian had often discussed and reflected on ways to link mathematics and the library. We quickly agreed that the students enrolled in the elective course would design a COBISS locator. First, the librarian explained what a locator is and what its purpose is, then she demonstrated its practical use. The students carefully examined the library space and created a plan for how they would approach the task. They drew a floor plan of the school library on paper and added all the necessary elements. Afterwards, they transferred their work into digital form. At this stage, the librarian’s assistance was essential, as each shelf required the entry of the internal label, UDC (Universal Decimal Classification), the author’s name, and an additional description.
