V sklopu projekta SKUM smo izbrali področje književne vzgoje in se povezali s pisateljem Vanjo Peganom. V projektu je sodelovalo 23 četrtošolcev. Vsebine smo načrtovali medpredmetno ter povezali slovenščino, družbo, italijanščino, likovno in glasbeno umetnost. Osrednja tema je bila obravnava umetnostnega besedila – kratka fantastična zgodba Vanje Pegana, Tonin. Zgodba je bila izdana kot slikanica in je napisana dvojezično, v slovenščini in v italijanščini. Slikanica Tonin je bila leta 2010 uvrščena v zbirko najboljših svetovnih otroških in mladinskih del in je dobila priznanje Bele vrane. Fantastična zgodba spodbuja k sprejemanju drugačnosti in ponuja spoznanje, da prijateljstvo nima meja. Učenci so spoznali pisatelja, ki je s svojo sproščenostjo in prijaznostjo naredil velik vtis na njih, zato so se za vse dejavnosti, ki smo jih izpeljali v povezavi z besedilom, še toliko bolj potrudili. Skozi celoten projekt so nadgradili svoje znanje in pridobili tudi na samopodobi. Sami so predlagali dejavnosti in bili ves čas soustvarjalci učnega procesa. Pokazali so svojo ustvarjalnost, zmožnost sodelovanja in se učili kritičnega mišljenja. Izvedba projekta je bila zelo uspešna, za kar se lahko zahvalim koordinatorju projekta, Vladimirju Pircu, ki mi je nudil podporo in me dodatno motiviral.

Abstract

Walking Literature Education and Project SKUM

As part of the project SKUM2, 23 fourth graders together with their teacher decided to cover the area of literature and to connect with Vanja Pegan, a Slovenian writer. Through cross-curricular teaching, the subject areas of Slovenian, Social Sciences, Italian, Visual Art Education as well as Music Education were brought together. The lessons revolved around a literary text, more specifically, a fantasy short story titled »Tonin« by Vanja Pegan. The story was published as a bilingual Slovenian-Italian picture book. It was selected for a prestigious catalogue of international children’s and youth literature recommendations and won the White Raven award for children’s literature in 2010. The fantasy story promotes the acceptance of diversity and the value of true friendship, which knows no boundaries. The writer’s pleasant and laidback nature left a lasting impression on the pupils when they met him in person. As a result, they were only too eager to carry out all the tasks based on the literary text. The project broadened the participants’ knowledge and boosted their self-esteem. By putting forward their own ideas about the potential activities, the pupils were active co-creators of the learning process for the duration of the project. They demonstrated their creativity and fostered collaboration and critical thinking. The coordinator, Mr Vladimir Pirc, who lent all his support and strengthened our motivation throughout, should receive due credit for the enormous success of the project.
