Šolska knjižnica pod krošnjami


Izvleček

Knjižnica pod krošnjami je inovativen projekt Zavoda Divja misel, ki od 2004 v poletnih mesecih domiselno vabi k branju in listanju (predvsem v Ljubljani) oz. obisku najrazličnejših literarnih dogodkov po drugih krajih v Sloveniji in zamejstvu. Z namenom popularizacije uporabe knjižničnega gradiva, približevanja izbranega knjižničnega gradiva, obogatitve bivanja na šolskem dvorišču v času podaljšanega bivanja za učence prvega vzgojno-izobraževalnega obdobja junija za teden do dva zaživi šolska knjižnica na prostem. Program in vsebina se nadgrajujeta na podlagi neposrednih izkušenj z uporabniki. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da so nad samo idejo knjižnice na prostem najbolj navdušeni prvošolci, drugošolce in tretješolce pa poleg samega gradiva in poslušanja izbrane pravljice pomembno privlačijo tudi najrazličnejše miselne naloge. Pomembno je tudi ciljno izbrano knjižnično gradivo, ki uporabnike pritegne k obisku take šolske knjižnice in jo v njej tudi zadrži. Inovativni projekti šolske knjižnice so pomembni zaradi svežine, ki jo prinesejo v šolski prostor, ne nazadnje pa tudi za samega šolskega knjižničarja/knjižničarko, ki se tako izogne rutini in prevetri ustaljene prakse bralnih spodbud.

Abstract

School Library Under the Treetops

The Library Under the Treetops is an innovative project of the private institution Zavod Divja misel, which since 2004 has creatively invited people to read and browse (mainly in Ljubljana) or attend various literary events in other parts of Slovenia and abroad during the summer months. With the aim of popularizing the use of library materials, bringing selected library resources closer to users, and enriching the experience of spending time in the schoolyard during extended hours for students in the first educational cycle, the outdoor school library comes to life in June for one to two weeks. The program and content are continuously updated based on direct experiences with users. It was found that first-graders are most enthusiastic about the idea of an outdoor library, while second- and third-graders are particularly attracted not only to the materials and listening to selected stories but also to various cognitive tasks. The carefully selected library materials are also crucial, as they draw users to visit such school library and keep them engaged. Innovative school library projects are important due to the freshness they bring to the school environment, and they also benefit the school librarian, who can break free from routine and refresh the established practices in reading promotion.
