»ŠC bere« – Bralna značka na novogoriškem Šolskem centru

V prispevku je opisano izvajanje slovenske bralne značke na Šolskem centru Nova Gorica, ki poteka že osem let. Glede na to, da večina naših dijakov branje zavrača, si z našim delovanjem nismo zastavili visokih ciljev. Redkim bralcem smo želeli dati priložnost, da se izkažejo, hkrati pa tako dijake kot učitelje opozoriti na knjige, ki so se nam zdele za najstnike primerne in zanimive. V članku so opisani načela pri vsakoletnem novem izboru naslovov za bralno značko, načini promocije bralne značke ter sodelovanje pri izvajanju te dejavnosti med šolsko knjižnico in učitelji. Prav promocija in dobro sodelovanje z učitelji sta ključnega pomena pri uspešni izvedbi bralne značke. V zadnjem delu članka je predstavljena bralna značka v šolskem letu 2015/2016: analiza v branje ponujenih naslovov in bralni odziv med dijaki. Večina dijakov, ki se bralne značke udeležuje, prihaja iz tehniških smeri, zato nam bo v prihodnje izziv k branju pritegniti tudi dijake naših poklicnih smeri.

Abstract

»SC is Reading« – Reading Badge at Nova Gorica School Centre

This paper describes the implementation of the Slovenian reading badge at the Nova Gorica School Centre, which has been taking place for eight years. Bearing in mind that most of our students refuse to read, we did not set any high goals for our activity. We wished to provide our rare readers with the chance to excel, simultaneously informing the students and teachers of the books which we considered suitable and interesting for teenagers. The article describes the principles used in the annual selection of new titles for the reading badge, the methods of promoting the reading badge, and collaboration between the school library and teachers in implementing this activity. Promotion and good collaboration with teachers are of key importance in successfully implementing the reading badge. The concluding part of the article presents the 2015/2016 reading badge: an analysis of the titles recommended for reading and reader response among secondary school students. Most of the students that participate in the reading badge attend technical programmes; in the future, it will be a challenge to also attract the students of vocational programmes to read.
