Povzetek

Refleksija in samorefleksija sta osrednji orodji za profesionalni razvoj ravnateljev, saj omogočata poglobljeno razumevanje pedagoških praks, izboljšanje kakovosti vodenja za učenje in profesionalni razvoj. Članek obravnava teoretične osnove refleksije, njen pomen za razvoj kritičnega mišljenja ter vlogo ravnateljev pri spodbujanju profesionalnega učenja. Uporaba refleksivnih modelov, kot so Deweyjeva teorija, Gibbsov refleksivni krog in Kolbov cikel učenja, ponuja strukturiran pristop k izboljšanju pedagoških praks. Članek vključuje tudi opis praktičnih pristopov za implementacijo refleksije v izobraževalnem okolju in ugotovitve o njenem vplivu na dolgoročni profesionalni razvoj. Samorefleksija ravnatelja je ključni element vodenja, saj vodji omogoča, da se zaveda svojih prepričanj, vedenja in praks ter jih kritično analizira, da bi izboljšal svoje delovanje in vplival na razvoj šole. Zato članek še posebej raziskuje pomen samorefleksije v vodenju, njen vpliv na strokovni razvoj ravnateljev in učiteljev ter njen prispevek k ustvarjanju pozitivnega učnega okolja.

Abstract

Reflection and Self-Reflection as Key Elements of Leadership for Professional Development

Reflection and self-reflection are central tools for the professional development of head teachers, as they enable a deeper understanding of pedagogical practices, enhance the quality of leadership for learning, and foster professional development. This article discusses the theoretical foundations of reflection, its importance for the development of critical thinking, and the role of head teachers in promoting professional learning. The application of reflective models, such as Dewey’s theory, Gibbs’ Reflective Cycle, and Kolb’s Learning Cycle, provides a structured approach to improving pedagogical practices. The article also includes practical approaches for implementing reflection in educational settings and examines its impact on long-term professional development. The article places particular emphasis on the self-reflection of the head teacher, which is a key element of leadership. Self-reflection enables the leader to become aware of their own beliefs, behaviours, and practices, critically analyse them, and enhance their effectiveness, ultimately contributing to the development of the school. The article explores the significance of self-reflection in leadership, its impact on the professional development of head teachers and teachers, and its contribution to fostering a positive learning environment.
