Poznavanje storitev Univerzitetne knjižnice Maribor – odprto okno v svet šolskih obveznosti

V članku poskušamo odgovoriti na vprašanje, kako in zakaj storitve in dejavnosti Univerzitetne knjižnice Maribor vključiti v šolske obveznosti gimnazijcev. Predstavimo izvedbo programa informacijskega opismenjevanja dijakov II. gimnazije Maribor, ki so obiskali UKM v okviru obveznih izbirnih vsebin in knjižnično informacijskih znanj. Učno okolje, v katerem se dijaki aktivno vključujejo v izobraževalni proces, zahteva informacijsko pismenega posameznika, ki se je sposoben posvetiti reševanju problemov in zmore v tem procesu kritično razmišljati, uporabiti informacijsko-komunikacijsko tehnologijo ter v sodelovanju z drugimi uporabniki graditi moralne, čustvene in etične vrednote. Knjižničarji – bibliotekarji tutorji – se zavedamo pomena izobraževanja, zato sodelujemo z izobraževalnimi ustanovami v lokalnem in širšem okolju tudi tako, da predstavljamo storitve in dejavnosti knjižnice v obliki krajših tematskih učnih enot.

Abstract

Knowing the Services of the University of Maribor Library – Open Window into the World of School Obligations

The article seeks to answer the question of how and why the services and activities of the University of Maribor Library should be included among the school obligations of grammar school students. It presents the implementation of the information literacy programme intended for the students of the grammar school II. gimnazija Maribor, who visited the UML as part of their compulsory elective subjects and library information knowledge. The learning environment where students are actively involved in the education process requires them to have information literacy in order to be able to focus on solving problems, use critical thinking and information and communication technologies in this process, as well as collaborate with other users to build moral, emotional and ethical values. Librarians – librarians-tutors – are aware of the importance of education, which is why we cooperate with education institutions, both locally and broadly, by presenting, among other, the library services and activities in the form of shorter thematic learning units.
