Podoba pokrajine v pravljicah in povedkah

V članku predstavljamo tri izbrane slikanice, katerih skupna tema je podoba pokrajine. Usmerili smo se na različne tipe vodovja – za predstavitev smo izbrali dve literarizirani deli, in sicer pravljico o reki (O povodnem možu, priredil jo je Andrej Šavli, ilustrirala Ančka Gošnik Godec) ter ljudsko pripovedko o morju (Čarobni mlinček, priredil Saša Pergar, ilustrirala Ana Razpotnik Donati) in avtorsko pripovedko o jezeru (Zakaj je polje jezero? Saše Pavček z ilustracijami Damijana Stepančiča). Na podlagi treh izbranih slikanic je predstavljena besedna in ilustrativna prezentacija dogajalnega prostora (dogajališča), to so reka, jezero in morje. Zanimiv je tudi mitološki lik povodnega moža, ki je v pravljici izražen že v naslovu, v pripovedki pa se jezernik kot lik pojavi šele ob koncu zgodbe. Navezava vseh treh izbranih besedil nudi široko paleto povezav z drugimi literarnimi liki iz slovenske zakladnice ljudskega slovstva (npr. vile, škratje, ajdi, zlatorog …) in z drugimi zanimivimi prostori (npr. slovensko visokogorje ali Panonska nižina).

Abstract

Portrayal of Landscape in Slovene Fairytales and Folktales

The article describes three picture books which portray landscape in their narratives. The authors focused on picture books about different types of waters, choosing a fairytale about a river O povodnem možu (Underwater man, adapted by Andrej Šavli, and illustrated by Ančka Gošnik Godec), a folktale about the sea Čarobni mlinček (Little magic mill, adapted by Saša Pergar, and illustrated by Ana Razpotnik Donati), and an original authorial tale about a lake Zakaj je polje jezero? (Why has the field turned into a lake?, written by Saša Pavček, and illustrated by Damijan Stepančič). The article describes the textual and pictorial presentation of their respective places of action, i.e. the river, the lake, and the sea. Interestingly, the mythological character of the underwater man is mentioned in the fairytale title, whereas the folktale’s character of the lakeman does not appear until the end of the story. The interconnecting of the selected texts provides a broad variety of possible relations with other literary characters described in numerous other Slovenian folktales (e.g. fairies, elves, the Heathen Maiden, the Goldhorn, etc.), and other interesting places (e.g. Slovenian high mountains, the Pannonian Plain).
