Povzetek
Socialna vključenost otrok priseljencev je eden ključnih dejavnikov za njihovo psihosocialno dobrobit v novem okolju, njihovo učno uspešnost in v nadaljevanju uspešnost na trgu dela. Za razvoj relacijskega vidika socialne vključenosti je ključni dejavnik občutek pripadanja. V prispevku predstavljamo rezultate evalvacije Predloga programa dela z otroki priseljenci za področje predšolske vzgoje, osnovnošolskega in srednješolskega izobraževanja, osredotočene na vidik občutka pripadanja in socialne vključenosti otrok priseljencev, s predlogi za bolj usmerjeno izvajanje aktivnosti za spodbujanje občutka pripadanja in vpetosti otrok priseljencev v socialne odnose v šolskih okoljih in tudi širše. Glede na rezultate evalvacije imajo otroci priseljenci v primerjavi z nepriseljenimi otroki v razredu pogosteje manj ugodne sociometrične pozicije v šoli, kar se povezuje tudi z šibkejšim občutkom pripadanja.
Abstract
Sense of Belonging and Social Inclusion of Immigrant Children
The social inclusion of immigrant children is a key factor for their psychosocial well-being in the new environment, for their academic achievement, and for their subsequent success in the labour market. A key factor for the development of the relational aspect of social inclusion is the sense of belonging. The article presents the results of the evaluation of Predlog programa dela z otroki priseljenci za področje predšolske vzgoje, osnovnošolskega in srednješolskega izobraževanja [Programme Proposal for Working with Immigrant Children in the Field of Preschool, Primary School and Secondary School Education], which focused on the aspect of the sense of belonging and social inclusion of immigrant children, giving suggestions for a more targeted implementation of activities to promote the sense of belonging and integration of immigrant children into social relationships in school settings and beyond. According to the results of the evaluation, immigrant children often have less favourable sociometric positions in school
compared to the non-immigrant children, which also correlates with a poorer sense of belonging.
