Povzetek
Pri pripravi novega učbenika Obča geografija, ki predstavlja temeljito prenovo in posodobitev prejšnjega učbenika iz leta 2002, se je izkazalo, da so bila največjih vsebinskih sprememb potrebna predvsem poglavja iz družbene geografije. Veliko večino vseh sprememb in posodobitev v novem učbeniku se je lahko brez posebnih težav opravilo na osnovi ciljev veljavnega učnega načrta iz leta 2008, saj so praviloma zapisani tako, da omogočajo posodabljanje učnih vsebin. Podali smo nekaj predlogov za spremembe samih ciljev v učnem načrtu, a potrebe po tem v nasprotju s pričakovanji niso bile velike. Bolj problematično ostaja vprašanje (ne) usklajenosti terminologije v obstoječih učbenikih obče geografije, še posebej na področjih podnebnih tipov, prsti in rastlinstva.
Abstract
A Few Observations following the Revision of the Textbook Set for General Geography
During the preparing of the new textbook of general geography, which represents a deep renewal and updating of the previous textbook from 2002, it turned out that the major content changes required especially the sections in human geography. The vast majority of all changes and updates in the new textbook were easily accomplished on the basis of the objectives of the current curriculum of 2008. These objectives are generally written in a way that allows the updating of contents. We made some suggestions for changing the objectives in the curriculum, but the need to do so was not overwhelming. More problematic is the issue of (inconsistent) terminology in existing textbooks of general geography, especially in the areas of climate types, soil and vegetation.
