Abstract
Agriculture Must Adapt to Climate Change Now
The article summarises the various approaches to adapting to climate change which have been developed by international organisations (such as FAO) and numerous experts. Agriculture is expected to adapt the most, in light of the fact that food production is already jeopardised. The greatest number of measures relate to the responsible management of groundwater and surface water, on which food production and survival in general rest. It has been established that many measures have been collected and identified at the administrative level; that only few of them are being used in practice; and that with minor changes in the education system we could rapidly introduce different approaches to teaching about climate change and thus contribute to the preservation of biodiversity, to increasing self-supply, and to promoting bio- circular economy.
