V času študija se pripravljamo na izvajanje vzgojno-izobraževalnega procesa v razredu. Naučimo se, kako se obnašati, kaj povedati, pazimo na govorico telesa in pravilno slovensko izreko. A nihče nas ne pripravi na nepredvidljive situacije v razredu. Življenje in delo v šoli je barvito. Učitelji v razredu moramo biti iznajdljivi, uspešno moramo voditi razred, poznati in obvladati strokovne vsebine, poznati dokumentacijo in dokumente. Učitelji moramo biti še kako prilagodljivi, da se odzivamo na počutje učencev, ki se zelo hitro spreminja. Večkrat pomislimo, da so učitelji kot super junaki, ki predajajo znanje na različne načine, upoštevajo vsakega učenca, znajo pravilno rešiti vse obrazce in zapisati vsa poročila, rešujejo spore v razredu, odgovarjajo na vprašanja, so animatorji, znajo izbrati lepo besedo in podati topel objem. Tega se počasi zavedamo že od študija, doživimo pa na lastni koži v svojih prvih letih poučevanja v razredu.

Abstract

My First Teaching Experience

During our studies, we prepare for carrying out the educational process in the classroom. We learn how to behave, what to say, how to mind our body language and proper Slovenian enunciation. But no one prepares us for the unpredictable situations in the classroom. Life and work in school is colourful. In class, teachers have to be resourceful; we have to lead the class successfully; we have to know and master the academic contents; we have to know the documentation and documents. We, teachers, have to be very flexible in order to respond to the pupils’ mood, which changes rapidly. It often comes to mind that teachers are like superheroes who pass on knowledge in diverse ways; who pay heed to each pupil; who are able to correctly fill out all the forms and write all the reports; who settle disputes in the classroom; who answer questions; who are facilitators; who are able to pick a nice thing to say and give a warm hug. We slowly become aware of that during our studies and later experience it first-hand during our first years of teaching a class.
