Abstract
Media – Inhibitors or Enhancers of Child’s Artistic Creativity
Nowadays, it is very common to have digital technology present in a school environment. Work in classroom is significantly facilitated by all the hardware and the software, enabling faster and easier access to information. Sovereign, responsible and creative teachers are able to provide information, data and ideas found on the internet without breaking any legal, moral or ethical norms, and are thus setting a good example for their pupils. That is especially important in arts lessons, as artistic problems can be solved in various ways (demonstrated on two fifth-grade arts assignments), not according to the one and only pattern and the copy-pasting of ideas. That is why, before including information in a lesson, teachers should filter them and present them to students in such way that does not inhibit their own creativity but actually enhances it. Thus, new ideas and knowledge are born about oneself and the society, which is increasingly in need of educated, creative and innovative participants in all fields.
