Povzetek

Uspešna inkluzija pomeni prilagoditev učnih metod in načina dela potrebam posameznika.

Abstract

Inclusive Education of Children and Adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders

Successful inclusion means adapting the teaching methods and the work method to the needs of the individual. This requires a well-established support system, proper training of all those involved, and a system for controlling the implementation of adopted acts and rules. One of the extremely important factors is understanding the important role of art. The right to access knowledge and to a method of gaining knowledge that is adapted to the needs and abilities of the individual is one of the basic human rights. A different way of thinking is one of the engines of development and should therefore be fostered and encouraged; we must look for ways within the education system which would allow individuals to make the best use of their potential. In Slovenia, individuals with autism spectrum disorder are in a way still marginalised and it is high time that we see to their needs at the national level.
