Doživljanje glasbe skozi ples pri profesionalnih plesalcih

Izvleček

Plesalci glasbo in ples doživljajo drugače zaradi svojega glasbenega znanja. Namen študije je globlje razumevanje doživljanja plesa in glasbe pri profesionalnih plesalcih, s poudarkom na čustvenem vidiku in inkluziji v plesnem okolju. V ta namen smo izvedli štiri polstrukturirane intervjuje.

Abstract

Experience of Music in Professional Dancers Through Dance

Professional dancers experience music and dance in unique ways due to their musical knowledge. This study aims to gain a deeper understanding of the experience of dance and music among professional dancers, particularly regarding the emotional aspect and their inclusion in the dance environment. To this end, we conducted four semi-structured interviews, and through thematic analysis, we found that emotions play a prominent role in dancers’ experience with dance and music, as well as their thought processes. For these dancers, music and dance serve as sources of art, enjoyment, and relaxation. They also contribute to the experience of other, more complex feelings, such as empowerment and self- awareness. These elements significantly impact other areas, such as self-image and self-confidence. Music and dance provide a means of expression, self-realisation, and connection for marginalised groups. In doing so, the study sheds light on an important aspect of emotions in the experience of music and dance, offers valuable insights into complex psychological and emotional dynamics, and contributes to the understanding of inclusivity in the dance environment.
