Izvleček

Prispevek osvetljuje vlogo šolske knjižnice kot prostora učenja, povezovanja in obravnave družbeno pomembnih tem. V tem primeru skozi uporabo slikanice Mamici in očka dva pri medpredmetnem povezovanju knjižnično informacijskega znanja in predmeta družba v 4. razredu osnovne šole. V ospredju je aktivna vloga šolskega knjižničarja pri izboru kakovostnega leposlovnega gradiva, načrtovanju učnega procesa ter sodelovanju z razredno učiteljico. Slikanica, ki temelji na resnični zgodbi o otroku v rejniški družini, predstavlja izhodišče za pogovor o različnih oblikah družine, spremembah v družinskem življenju ter razvijanju empatije in socialne pismenosti. Jedro prispevka je prikaz izvedbe dveh učnih ur, v katerih učenci skozi pogovor, skupinsko delo in raziskovanje spoznavajo razliko med rejništvom in posvojitvijo ter hkrati razvijajo razumevanje nastanka knjige oz. poti od avtorja do bralca. Prispevek poudarja, da šolska knjižnica z medpredmetnim sodelovanjem pomembno prispeva k celostnemu učenju, bralni kulturi in socialno-čustvenemu razvoju učencev ter se uveljavlja kot pomemben pedagoški in vzgojni prostor v šoli.

Abstract

The Picture Book Two Mums and Two Dads and an Example of an Interdisciplinary Lesson

The article highlights the role of the school library as a learning and connecting space by presenting an example of using the picture book Two Mums and Two Dads in interdisciplinary teaching that combines library and information literacy with social studies in the fourth grade of primary school. The focus is on the active role of the school librarian in selecting high-quality literary materials, planning the learning process, and cooperating with the classroom teacher. The picture book, based on a true story of a child growing up in a foster family, serves as a starting point for discussing diverse family structures, changes in family life, and the development of empathy and social literacy. The core of the article presents the implementation of two teaching units, in which pupils, through discussion, group work and inquiry-based activities, learn about the differences between foster care and adoption while also gaining an understanding of the process of book production and the path from author to reader. The article emphasizes that the school library, through interdisciplinary collaboration, makes an important contribution to holistic learning, reading culture, and the social and emotional development of pupils, thus establishing itself as a key pedagogical and educational environment within the school.
