Izvleček
Poučevanje angleščine na razredni stopnji je zame poseben izziv, saj mlajši učenci pogosto težko ovrednotijo svoje znanje. V praksi sem razvila prilagodljiv pristop brez učbenikov, kar mi omogoča kreativnost in prilagoditev potrebam vsakega razreda. Učne cilje predstavljam skozi igro, pesmi, zgodbe in gibanje, kar učencem omogoča, da se aktivno vključijo v učenje. Formativno spremljanje uvajam na naraven način, ki učence motivira in povezuje z učnim procesom. Zgodbe, kot je Oliver Finds His Way, uporabljam za utrjevanje jezika in razvijanje socialnih veščin. Tako gradim okolje, kjer je učenje smiselno, zabavno in usmerjeno k razvoju ljubezni do tujega jezika.
Abstract
Formative Assessment in Early English Language Learning through Play and Movement
Teaching English at the primary level presents a unique challenge, as younger learners often struggle to assess their knowledge. In my practice, I have developed a flexible, textbook-free approach that allows for creativity and adaptation to the needs of each class. I introduce learning objectives through play, songs, stories, and movement, encouraging the pupils’ active engagement in the learning process. Formative assessment is integrated naturally, in ways that motivate learners and connect them meaningfully to their learning. I use stories such as Oliver Finds His Way to reinforce language and support the development of social skills, which helps create a learning environment that is meaningful, enjoyable, and focused on nurturing a love of foreign languages.
