Abstract
Inclusive Sport
Creating a tolerant and equal society requires more than just implementing the concept of inclusion in the school environment; it must also extend to other areas of social life. We can make significant contributions by including children with special needs in organized sports activities, which requires appropriately trained and inclusively oriented professionals. Successful coaching requires a holistic approach to children and adolescents, based on understanding their needs and desires, flexibility in thinking, openness to trying new methods and techniques, and awareness that the training process is not a fixed constant. The article elaborates on the inclusive paradigm, which is based on inclusive relationships and an understanding of the skills of an inclusive coach. It also presents ways of integrating children with various characteristics and needs into mainstream sports programs and models for adapting sports activities to be inclusive for all participants.
