Izvleček
Družinsko nasilje, ki ga zaznavamo in obravnavamo v vrtcu ali šoli, umeščamo v področje vzgoje in izobraževanja, področje socialnega dela z družino in konkretno v področje svetovalnega dela z otroki in družinami. Strokovni članek s pedagoškega in socialnega vidika omogoča širši pogled v obravnavano tematiko ter ponuja uporabna teoretična izhodišča za prepoznavanje, zaznavanje in preprečevanja družinskega nasilja v vzgojno-izobraževalnih ustanovah. Na kratko predstavljam svetovalno delo v procesih podpore in pomoči otrokom in družinam, v katerih se dogaja nasilje. Pri delu z otroki je izrednega pomena glas otroka. Strokovna pomoč je učinkovita le takrat, ko je želeni izid usmerjen k zagotavljanju otrokovih pravic in če otroka upoštevamo kot enakovrednega sogovornika. Ponujam smernice za praktično delo s poudarkom na literaturi, ki je podlaga za delovanje strokovnih delavcev in delavk v vseh vzgojnih ustanovah.
Abstract
Role of Educational and Child-Care Institutions in Handling Domestic Violence
Domestic violence that is detected and handled in a kindergarten or school falls within the scope of education, the scope of social work with families and, more specifically, the scope of counselling work with children and families. The scholarly article provides a broader look at this topic from the pedagogical and social perspective, and provides a useful theoretical framework for recognizing, detecting and preventing domestic violence in educational institutions. It briefly presents counselling work in the process of providing support and help to children and families in which violence is taking place. Giving the child a voice is of great importance when working with children. Professional help is effective only when the desired outcome is aimed towards exercising the child’s rights and if the child is treated as an equal interlocutor. The article provides guidelines for practical work with emphasis on literature, which is a foundation for the work of professional staff in all educational institutions.
