Abstract
Student with Dyscalculia in Primary School
Dyscalculia is a disorder which can prevent certain children from obtaining education and achieving optimal social development. Helping such children in time not only affects their school results but also their upbringing; it improves their attitude towards themselves, their classmates, work, school and society, and consequently their future successful inclusion in further education. The paper presents the teaching of a female student with dyscalculia using a five-step model of learning support. The student, who is attending third grade in the current school year, received a Placement Order at the end of the first grade, which entitles her to three periods of additional professional assistance from a special education teacher.
