Povzetek

Novela Prežihovega Voranca Samorastniki je poleg njegovega Boja na požiralniku eno izmed književnih del, ki jih morajo dijaki v gimnaziji obvezno prebrati. Ugotovitve, da je v obeh delih zelo nazorno opisana tudi koroška pokrajina, zlasti zamejska, kar sili k medpredmetnemu povezovanju z geografijo (nismo pa obravnave širili na prav tako smiselno povezavo z zgodovino). Izhodišče našega razmišljanja so tako splošni kot podrobni cilji učnih načrtov za slovenščino in geografijo, ob tem pa ne moremo mimo še širše in za življenje morda še bolj praktično zapisanih veščin, ki jih potrebuje prav vsak dijak. Nastal je krajši zapis, kako bi bilo mogoče udejanjiti eno izmed takšnih medpredmetnih povezav in nekaj namigov za konkretno delo dijakov.

Abstract

Cross-curricular Discussion of the Novella Samorastniki by Prežihov Voranc in General Secondary School

The novella Samorastniki by Prežihov Voranc, in addition to his novella Boj na požiralniku, is one of the literary works which students of general secondary schools are required to read. The realisation that both works vividly describe the landscape of the Koroška region, especially the one across the border, simply calls for cross-curricular integration with Geography (however, the discussion of the novella has not been expanded to include a likewise sensible integration with History). Our idea was based on the general and detailed objectives of the curricula for Slovenian Language and Geography; we also must not overlook the broader, and perhaps even more practical life skill that every secondary school student needs. We have prepared a shorter text on how such a cross-curricular link could be realised and provided a few suggestions for the concrete work of secondary school students.
