Prispevek obravnava glasbeni razvoj in prinaša pregled značilnosti glasbenega razvoja učencev, starih od 6 do 7 let in od 8 do 9 let, ter pregled ugotovitev številnih raziskav glasbenega razvoja v obdobju srednjega otroštva (5−11 let), razvrščenih po področjih: odzivanje na zvok in avditorne značilnosti učenja, odzivanje na glasbo, ton, tonalnost in harmonske sposobnosti, ritmične sposobnosti, gibalne sposobnosti, pevske sposobnosti, inštrumentalne izvajalske spretnosti in druge glasbene spretnosti in dejavnike. S primeri je nakazana možnost učiteljeve izpeljave konkretnih glasbenih dejavnosti izvajanja, poslušanja in ustvarjanja. Poudarjeno je uravnoteženo načrtovanje glasbenih ciljev in oblikovanje glasbenih dejavnosti na afektivnem, kognitivnem in psihomotoričnem področju.
Abstract
Several Insights into Musical Development of Primary School Pupils
This article discusses musical development and provides an overview of its characteristics at the ages of 6 to 7 and 8 to 9. In addition, it summarizes findings of of a number of studies examining musical development during middle childhood (ages 5 to 11) in the following areas: responding to sound and auditory characteristics of learning, responding to music, tones, tonality, harmonic and rhythmic abilities, movement skills, singing abilities, instrumental performance skills, and other musical skills and factors. Practical suggestions for concrete activities are offered to improve students’ musical performance, listening skills and stimulate their creativity. The emphasis is on balanced music objectives planning and on designing musical activities that develop affective, cognitive and psychomotor skills.
