Povzetek

Članek obravnava pregled razvoja ontarijskih modelov programa Mentorstvo z veščinami coachinga. Besedilo se začenja s spoznavanjem razvoja vodenja v vzgoji in izobraževanju v kanadskem Ontariu. Za boljše razumevanje programov, ki so na voljo v Ontariu, in njihovega vpliva na razvoj vodenja nato predstavimo nekaj raziskovalnih osnov, zlasti delo dr. Joanne Robinson, opisano v njeni doktorski disertaciji iz leta 2010. V besedilu predstavimo dva modela mentorstva z veščinami coachinga za ravnatelje, in sicer model eden na enega ter model vodenja in učenja v timu (LLT). V zadnjih odstavkih članka so navedeni koristi in izzivi modelov mentorstva z veščinami coachinga ter prihodnji koraki in
razvoj ontarijskih programov.

Abstract

Ontario’s Mentor-Coaching Journey Supporting Education Leadership Development

This article considers the journey of Ontario’s Mentoring-Coaching programs. The text begins with an exploration of leadership development in Ontario, Canada. Then, to better understand the types of programs offered in Ontario and their impact on leadership development, some research foundations are examined, specifically Dr. Joanne Robinson’s work reported in her doctoral dissertation in 2010. In the text, two types of programs, one-on-one and leading and learning team (LLT), are proposed for MentoringCoaching of school level administrators. The final sections of the article include the benefits and challenges of MentoringCoaching programs as well as next steps for Ontario’s programs.
