V prispevku je predstavljeno, kako na Osnovni šoli Vransko – Tabor poteka razvijanje vizualne pismenosti skozi kreativne načine raziskovanja motiva portreta. Z ekološkim ozaveščanjem, raziskovanjem različnih likovnih tehnik, kombinacijo že poznanega in še ne preizkušenega, s poglabljanjem v svojo osebnost in spoznavanjem drug drugega smo spodbujali vizualno in kreativno izražanje učencev. Pri tem smo uporabili medpredmetno povezovanje tako, da smo z učenci med ustvarjanjem odprli tematike drugih šolskih predmetov, se o tem pogovarjali ter spoznanja skušali vnesti v likovni izdelek.

Between Portraiture and Visual Literacy
Different Approaches to Motif

The article presents how the Vransko-Tabor Primary School fosters visual literacy by exploring the portrait motif creatively. We encouraged the students‘ visual and creative expression through developing ecological consciousness, exploring new art techniques, merging the familiar and the unknown, diving into their personalities, and getting to know each other. We employed cross-curricular integration by opening up themes from other school subjects, discussing them with the students as they were creating, and trying to incorporate the insights into the artwork.
