Izvleček
V prispevku je predstavljeno medpredmetno sodelovanje učiteljice izbirnega predmeta nemščina in knjižničarke. Učenci so prisluhnili pravljici Zverjasec v slovenskem in nemškem jeziku, se seznanili z uporabo klasičnih in digitalnih slovarjev, ponovili in utrdili so značilnosti pravljic. Spoznali so, kako se njim poznani knjižni junaki imenujejo v nemščini, ter utrdili in razširili jezikovno znanje v tujem jeziku. Pouk v knjižnici in učenje prek pravljic sta pri učencih vzbudila zanimanje za prebiranje tujejezičnih knjig ter višjo stopnjo motivacije za učenje novih besed.
Abstract
How to Attract Young Readers to Read German Books
The paper presents cross-curricular collaboration between a teacher of the elective subject of German and a librarian. Pupils listened to the fairy tale Zverjasec/The Gruffalo in the Slovenian and German language, learnt how to use classic and digital dictionaries, and revised and consolidated their knowledge of the characteristics of fairy tales. They discovered what the protagonists of books they know well are called in German; they consolidated and broadened their knowledge of a foreign language. Holding lessons in a library and learning through fairy tales triggered the pupils’ interest in reading foreign language books and increased their motivation to learn new words.
