Izvleček
Igra in učenje na prostem imata pomembno vlogo v sodobnem vzgojno-izobraževalnem procesu, saj otrokom omogočata neposreden stik z naravo, izkustveno učenje in prispevata k celostnemu razvoju otrok. Strokovni članek vsebuje pregled domače in tuje literature o pomenu, prednostih in ovirah igre in učenja na prostem. V nadaljevanju so predstavljeni rezultati raziskave, ki primerja izvajanje igre in učenja na prostem v predšolskem obdobju in prvem vzgojno-izobraževalnem obdobju osnovne šole. Ugotovitve kažejo, da se igra in učenje na prostem izvajata pogosteje in v večjem obsegu v vrtcih kot v prvem vzgojno-izobraževalnem obdobju osnovne šole.
Abstract
Outdoor Play and Learning in Preschool and First Cycle of Primary Education
Outdoor play and learning are essential components of modern education, providing children with direct interaction with nature and experiential learning opportunities that foster their overall development. This scholarly article reviews both domestic and international literature on the importance, benefits, and challenges associated with outdoor play and learning. The following section presents the results of a study examining the implementation of outdoor play and learning during the preschool years and in the first educational cycle. The findings indicate that outdoor play and learning are more frequent and extensive in preschool settings than in the first cycle of primary education.
