Preventivni program To sem jaz, vzpostavljen na Nacionalnem inštitutu za javno zdravje v letu 2001, poleg spletne informativno-svetovalne dejavnosti obsega šolske preventivne delavnice po konceptu 10 korakov do boljše samopodobe, namenjene mladostnikom, starim od 13 do 17 let. V šolskem letu 2017/18 smo izvedli poglobljeno evalvacijo delavnic, usmerjeno v merjenje njihovega vpliva in učinkov. Vanjo je bilo vključenih 10 osnovnih šol, 13 pedagoških delavk izvajalk delavnic, 64 učiteljev, ki delavnic niso izvajali, so pa poučevali v razredih, 425 osmošolcev (224 iz razredov, ki so bili vključeni v delavnice, in 201 učenec iz kontrolnih razredov) ter 68 učencev tretjih razredov. Uporabili smo tako kvalitativne kot kvantitativne metode, tj. preverjene vprašalnike, ankete, procesno opazovanje in beleženje. Meritve smo izvajali trikrat: pred začetkom izvajanja delavnic, po peti izvedeni delavnici in po deseti izvedeni delavnici. Rezultati kažejo, da delavnice z vidika krepitve duševnega zdravja ter razvijanja socialnih in čustvenih veščin pozitivno učinkujejo tako na razred kot tudi na posameznika.

Abstract

Evaluation of Preventive School Programme This Is Me

Besides on-line informative and counselling activities, the preventive programme This Is Me, begun by the National Institute of Public Health in 2001, also includes preventive school workshops according to the concept 10 Steps to a Better Self-Image, intended for adolescents between the ages of 13 and 17. In the 2017/18 school year, an in-depth evaluation of the workshops was carried out with the intention of measuring their impact and effects. It involved 10 primary schools, 13 members of the pedagogical staff who held the workshops, 64 teachers who did not hold the workshops but taught classes, 425 primary school pupils (224 from classes participating in the workshops and 201 pupils from control classes), and 68 pupils from the third class. Qualitative and quantitative methods were used, i.e. tried-and-tested questionnaires, surveys, process observation and note-taking. The measurements were conducted three times: before the workshops began, after the fifth workshop and after the tenth workshop. The results show that the workshops have a positive impact on the class and on individuals by improving their mental health and developing social and emotional skills.
