Branje je iskanje: model sodelovanja med splošnimi in šolskimi knjižnicami pri razvoju bralne kulture

Na kamniškem in komendskem področju že 34 let uspešno deluje aktiv šolskih knjižničark, na katerem se srečujejo šolske knjižničarke osnovnih šol in predstavnice Knjižnice Franceta Balantiča Kamnik. Na srečanjih predstavljajo primere dobrih praks in med drugim skupaj iščejo načine, kako branje približati učencem. Prav v tem okolju je v šolskem letu 2017/2018 zaživel medobčinski projekt Branje je iskanje. Branje je iskanje je družinska bralna značka, v katero so vključene družine, ki prek treh različnih dejavnosti (branje, udeležba na literarnih dogodkih in raziskovanje) krepijo bralno kulturo. Projekt je nastal na podlagi teoretičnega modela sodelovanja med splošno in šolskimi knjižnicami pri razvoju bralne kulture (Podbrežnik, 2011). Bralna kultura je splet idej, vrednot, norm, vsebin in sporočil, ki jih oblikujemo in posredujemo v zvezi z branjem z namenom oblikovati naučeno vedenje. Gre za širši družbeni kontekst, ki predstavlja odnos do branja. Bralna kultura je temelj bralne pismenosti. Pri sodelovanju je pomembno, da obe sodelujoči strani izrabita komplementarna znanja in zmožnosti v interakciji. Zato je pomembno skupno načrtovanje dejavnosti z opredeljenimi vizijo, dejavnostmi, urejenostjo in sredstvi. V prispevku predstavljamo dejavnike razvoja bralne kulture, to sta omogočanje dostopnosti gradiva ter motivacija za branje (promocija, pomoč in svetovanje pri branju ter dogodki in prireditve), in model sodelovanja pri razvoju bralne kulture ter njegovo uresničitev v konkretnem projektu.

Abstract

Reading is Searching: Cooperation Model between the General Library and School Libraries to Develop a Reading Culture

The Kamnik and Komenda region has a successful school librarian community that has been active for 34 years. Primary school librarians and the representatives of the general library Knjižnica Franceta Balantiča Kamnik meet to exchange good practice examples and together look for ways to make reading more appealing to students. This environment has inspired in the academic year 2017/18 an inter-municipal project called Reading is Searching – a family-type reading badge that includes families participating in various activities (reading, literary events and research) in order to promote the reading culture. The project was created based on a theoretical cooperation model between the general library and school libraries to develop a reading culture (Podbrežnik, 2011). Reading culture refers to ideas, values, norms, contents and messages that relate to reading and are formed and shared with the purpose of acquiring knowledge. In the wider social context, it represents an attitude toward reading. Reading culture is the foundation of reading literacy. In the cooperation between the two parties, it is important that both sides use complementary knowledge and abilities when interacting, which requires a joint planning of the activities with a clearly defined vision, activities, organisation and assets. The article focuses on the factors important in developing a reading culture, such as enabling access to the material and reading motivation (promotion, reading assistance and guidance, events), and describes the cooperation model for developing a reading culture with its realisation within the project.
