Kamišibaj – obravnava domačega branja v osnovni šoli


Izvleček

Prispevek predstavlja uporabo kamišibaja, japonske oblike pripovedovanja zgodb s pomočjo ilustracij, kot inovativno metodo za obravnavo domačega branja v osnovnih šolah. Kamišibaj združuje vizualne, slušne in kognitivne elemente, kar učence aktivno vključuje v interpretacijo literarnih del. V prispevku je opisana dejavnost za 4. razred osnovne šole, kjer so učenci brali knjigo Sebastjana Preglja Deček Brin na domačem kolišču. Po branju so pripravili obnovo vsebine, ilustracije ključnih dogodkov in izvedli kamišibaj, kjer so svoje poglavje predstavili svojim sošolcem. Med procesom so razvijali kreativnost, samozavest pri javnem nastopanju ter kritično razmišljanje. Učiteljica je delovala kot mentorica, usmerjala priprave in spodbujala pogovor. Metoda kamišibaja je bila učinkovita pri spodbujanju ustvarjalnosti in poglobljenega razumevanja vsebine. Obravnava domačega branja tako spodbuja tudi povezovanje različnih disciplin, kot so književnost, likovna umetnost in govorništvo. Dejavnost ne le da povečuje učenčevo zanimanje za branje, temveč jih tudi uči pomembnih življenjskih veščin, kot sta kritično razmišljanje in javno nastopanje. Hkrati pa so učenci pri tej obliki dela uživali in bili zadovoljni s svojim končnim izdelkom.

Abstract

Kamishibai – Addressing Home Reading in Primary School

The paper presents the use of kamishibai, a Japanese form of storytelling with the help of illustrations, as an innovative method for addressing home reading in primary schools. Kamishibai combines visual, auditory and cognitive elements, which actively involves students in the interpretation of literary works. The paper describes an activity for the fourth grade of primary school, where students read Sebastjan Pregl’s book “Deček Brin na domačem kolišču”. After reading, they prepared a reconstruction of the content, illustrations of key events and performed a kamishibai, where they presented their chapter to their classmates. During the process, they developed creativity, confidence in public speaking and critical thinking. The teacher acted as a mentor, guiding the preparations and encouraging discussion. The kamishibai method was effective in stimulating creativity and in-depth understanding of the content. Addressing home reading in this way also encourages the integration of different disciplines, such as literature, fine arts and rhetoric. The activity not only increases students’ interest in reading, but also teaches them important life skills, such as critical thinking and public speaking. At the same time, the students enjoyed this form of work and were satisfied with their final product.
