Izvleček
V prispevku želimo strokovnim delavcem šole približati razliko med strahom in anksioznostjo, ki je med učenci vse pogostejša. Opišemo simptome v učenčevem celostnem delovanju, po katerih jo lahko prepoznamo. Anksioznost lahko učencem in tudi učiteljem prinaša stiske, zato podajamo nekaj predlogov, kako so učitelji in drugi strokovni delavci šole lahko moč učenca v stiski. Delo z učencem po navadi pomeni tudi delo s starši in z razredom, kar v prispevku prav tako opisujemo. Pri nudenju pomoči pa smo najbolj učinkoviti takrat, ko smo v stiku in pomirjeni s seboj. V zaključnem delu prispevka zato osvetlimo tudi to področje.
Abstract
Fear or Anxiety – That Is the Question
The purpose of the paper is to educate school professionals about the distinction between fear and anxiety, which is on the rise among students. We explain the symptoms of anxiety in a student‘s overall functioning and how to identify them. Anxiety can cause discomfort to students and teachers alike, so we offer some suggestions for how teachers and other school professionals can provide strength to the distressed individual. Working with students usually entails working with their parents and the class. However, we are most effective when connected to and at ease with ourselves. The concluding section also sheds light on this issue.
