Izvleček
Učitelji in knjižničarji v Centru za sluh in govor Maribor (v nadaljevanju CSGM) se nenehno trudimo in iščemo načine, da bi branje približali učencem. To nam predstavlja velik izziv, saj naši učenci večinoma ne berejo radi, bodisi zaradi svojih primanjkljajev, motenj, ovir ali zaradi nizke motivacije za šolsko delo. Učitelji ves čas prilagajmo delo, pristope, oblike in metode dela glede na posameznika. Eden izmed načinov, kako pri učencih spodbuditi interes za branje, je ta, da za pouk književnosti in jezika prirejamo besedila v lahko branje. To pomeni, da jih oblikovno in jezikovno poenostavimo po določenih pravilih. Besedila, prirejena v lahko branje, so eden izmed motivacijskih dejavnikov za spodbujanje branja pri naših učencih. Z učenci smo pri pouku književnosti v celoti prebrali pripovedko Martin Krpan z Vrha v lahkem branju. Učenci so prebrano razumeli in zgodba jih je navdušila. V prispevku so opisane značilnosti lahkega branja, branje prirejenega besedila Martin Krpan z Vrha in odzivi učencev na prebrano besedilo. Odzivi učencev in naše izkušnje kažejo, da so besedila, prirejena v lahko branje, za učence, ki obiskujejo CSGM, nujno potrebna za dosego učnih ciljev, razvijanje interesa za branje in branja z razumevanjem.
Abstract
Falling in Love with Literature through Martin Krpan
We, teachers and librarians at the Centre for Hearing and Speech Maribor (Center za sluh in govor Maribor – CSGM), are constantly trying to find ways to get pupils to enjoy reading. This is a major challenge for us, as most of our pupils do not like reading, either because of their deficits, disorders, barriers or low motivation for doing schoolwork. As teachers we are constantly adapting our teaching approaches, forms and methods to the individual. One way to promote an interest in reading among pupils is to adapt the texts used in literature and language lessons for easy reading. This means that we simplify the form and language of the text according to the specified rules. Texts adapted for easy reading are a motivational factor for promoting reading among pupils. In literature class, we read the entire tale Martin Krpan z Vrha as easy reading. The pupils understood the story and were impressed by it. The article describes the characteristics of easy reading, the reading of the adapted tale Martin Krpan z Vrha, and the pupils’ reactions to the reading. The pupils’ reactions and our experiences show that the pupils visiting the CSGM need texts adapted for easy reading in order to achieve the learning objectives and develop an interest in reading and reading comprehension.
