Izvleček
Za nami je prvo leto uspešnih opazovanj s teleskopoma GoChile v okviru pedagoško-raziskovalnega projekta GoChile pod okriljem Univerze v Novi Gorici in astronomske revije Spika. Študentje in dijaki so v tem času dodobra spoznali daljinsko vodena teleskopa, nameščena v čilskem visokogorju. Pri študijskih obveznostih in v prostem času so pridobivali izkušnje z astronomskimi opazovanji ter spoznavali raziskovalni proces. Med številnimi izvedenimi projekti smo za tukajšnjo predstavitev izbrali srednješolski raziskovalni nalogi, ki sta dosegli lep uspeh na državnem srečanju mladih raziskovalcev v organizaciji Zveze za tehnično kulturo Slovenije. Raziskovalni nalogi sta temeljili na opazovanju prehoda eksoplaneta prek gostujoče zvezde in na merjenju razdalj do oddaljenih utripajočih zvezd.
Abstract
First Secondary-School Research Projects with GoChile Telescope System:
Exoplanets and Twinkling Stars
The first successful year of observations with GoChile, an educational and research project of the University of Nova Gorica and the astronomical magazine Spika, has ended. Secondary-school and undergraduate students got acquainted with two telescopes in the Chilean Andes. As part of their studies and free time, the students honed their skills in astronomical observations and familiarised themselves with the research process. The article presents two of several secondary-school research projects. Both achieved notable success at the national competition of young researchers organised by the Association for Technical Culture of Slovenia. The students observed an exoplanet transit and measured distances with the help of pulsation.
