Izvleček
Šolska knjižnica je prostor, namenjen uporabnikom (učencem in strokovnim delavcem), hkrati pa ponuja možnosti za izvajanje zelo raznolikih dejavnosti. V prvi vrsti je torej namenjena učencem, ki jo obiskujejo individualno, si izposojajo knjižno gradivo, v njej berejo knjige ali pišejo domače naloge, se družijo … Na drugi strani pa vstopajo v šolsko knjižnico vse tiste dejavnosti, ki jih pripravljamo knjižničarji in bogatijo delovanje same knjižnice. Tako učitelji s celimi oddelki pridejo na ure knjižnično informacijskih znanj, na katerih ob uporabi knjižnega gradiva obdelujejo in spoznavajo različne tematike. Večinoma so take ure povezane s samim poukom, včasih pa so namenjene splošni razgledanosti (obeležitev pomembnih dogodkov, predstavitve gradiva). Ena izmed dejavnosti, ki je pogosto zastopana v šolski knjižnici, je razstava. To je lahko preprosto razstava knjig na posebno temo, razstava izdelkov učencev v povezavi s knjigo ali pa podrobnejša obeležitev kakih pomembnih obletnic, ki je namenjena skrbi za povečanje splošne razgledanosti. V naši šolski knjižnici smo ob 100. obletnici rojstva Mikija Mustra s knjižničarskim krožkom pripravili razstavo, na kateri so učenci spoznali njegovo življenje in delo ter se tudi sami preizkusili v izdelavi stripa, člani knjižničarskega krožka pa so se preizkusili tudi v vodenju po razstavi.
Abstract
The Role of Exhibitions in the School Library – The Example of an Exhibition on Miki Muster
The school library is a space intended for its users (students and professional staff), while at the same time offering opportunities for a wide variety of activities. Primarily, it serves students who visit individually to borrow library materials, read books, do homework, or socialize. On the other hand, the school library also hosts activities prepared by librarians, which enrich its overall function. Teachers bring entire classes for library and information literacy lessons, where students explore and learn about different topics through the use of library materials. Such lessons are usually connected to the curriculum, but sometimes they are intended to broaden general knowledge (e.g. commemorating important events or presenting selected materials). One of the activities frequently present in the school library is an exhibition. This may be a simple display of books about a specific theme, an exhibition of students’ products related to books, or a more comprehensive commemoration of important anniversaries aimed at promoting general awareness and knowledge. In our school library, we organized an exhibition together with the library club on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Miki Muster. At the exhibition, students learned about his life and work, while also trying to create comics. The library club members also took on the role of exhibition guides.
