Abstract

The Inclusion of Gifted Pupils at the Implementation of the Interest Activity of the Science Class

Gifted pupils have a special ability or talent, with which they can greatly contribute to society. The teacher‘s task is to help develop these skills in learners and to develop the ability to find new answers to questions. At school we encounter the problem of how to involve talented students as actively as possible and to offer them new challenges and connect them in order to transfer their knowledge to others. With the help of gifted pupils from higher grades, we have created an interest activity in the field of science and enabled them to prepare experiments and lead activities for younger school children. Thus they have learned a new way of working, where they could show their leadership skills and their talent. They transferred their knowledge to younger students from lower grades, and encouraged their observation, curiosity, thinking, reasoning … This kind of work was positively accepted by the parents and other school workers. We know that gifted pupils are our greatest assets and should not be neglected, but to make the most of their abilities.
