Izvleček
Z besedo vstopa človek v odnos z drugim človekom in v odnos z okoljem. Članek nam odkriva specifičen pogled na vključevanje dijakov tujcev v novo okolje, v naš, slovenski srednješolski sistem. Praktično izhodišče članka je poučevanje slovenščine kot tujega jezika v letih 2009 do 2020, teoretično izhodišče pa se občasno naslanja na življenje in delo enega največjih jezikoslovcev 19. stoletja Stanislava Škrabca. Predmet Škrabčevega raziskovalnega dela je jezik kot živ organizem /sociolingvistika/ in zvočna podoba jezika /glasoslovje/. Prav ti dve področji sta pri delu z dijaki tujci posebej izpostavljeni. Učenje besedišča jezika je za dijake tujce prvi stik z novim okoljem. Glasoslovje pa je jezikovno področje, ki je prisotno pri vseh fazah osvajanja novega jezika in mnoge govorce še po mnogih letih izdaja, da slovenščina ni njihova materinščina. Zato je prvi cilj vključevanja dijakov tujcev v naš šolski sistem spoznavanje in učenje slovenščine.
Abstract
Multi-Layered Work with Foreign Secondary School Students
Through words, a person enters a relationship with another person and a relationship with their surroundings. Th e article discloses a specific view of the inclusion of foreign secondary school students into a new environment, namely into our, i.e. Slovenian secondary school system. The empirical part of the article concerns the teaching of Slovenian language as a foreign language from 2009 to 2020; the theoretical part occasionally touches on the life and work of one of the greatest 19th-century linguists, Stanislav Škrabec. The subject of Škrabec’s research was language as a living organism /sociolinguistics/ and the acoustic aspect of language /phonetics/. These two areas are especially prominent when working with foreign secondary school students. Learning the language’s vocabulary is the foreign secondary school students’ first contact with the new environment. Phonetics is a branch of linguistics that is present in all the stages of learning a new language and gives away many speakers, even aft er many years, revealing that Slovenian is not their native language. For this reason, the first goal of including foreign secondary school students into our school system is that they get to know and learn the Slovenian language.
