Otroci se z branjem najpogosteje srečajo prek slikanic, ki jim jih pokažejo starši ali vzgojitelji v vrtcu. Poleg tega da so pomemben člen pri usvajanju branja in bralne pismenosti, pa so zelo uporabne tudi kot gradivo pri usvajanju različnih učnih tem ter čustvenem opismenjevanju. Zelo uporabne so tudi pri pouku dodatne strokovne pomoči, zlasti pri otrocih v vrtcu in nižjih razredih osnovne šole. Prek slikanic lahko naenkrat krepimo več področij, ki so podrobneje opisana v članku. Članek se osredotoča na uporabo slikanice Dana Browna z naslovom Divja simfonija in predstavi možnost uporabe pri pouku dodatne strokovne pomoči. Načini dela s to slikanico pa so prenosljivi tudi na drugo literaturo.

Abstract

Using a Picture Book in Additional Professional Help Class in Kindergarten and in the First Triad of Primary School

Children are most often introduced to reading through picture books, shown by their parents or kindergarten educators. Apart from being an important link in learning to read and acquiring reading literacy, picture books are also very useful as material in learning about different class topics and in emotional literacy. They are also very useful in additional professional help classes, especially for children in kindergarten and in the first triad of primary school. By using picture books, different areas can be strengthened simultaneously, which are described in greater detail in the article. The article focuses on the use of the picture book Wild Symphony by Dan Brown, demonstrating how it can be used in additional professional help. The methods of working with this picture book can be applied to other literature as well.
