Povzetek

Učni sklop »Prva svetovna vojna« je dober primer, pri katerem se srečamo z najrazličnejšimi viri, ki jih moramo znati ločiti na pomembne in obrobne. Pri tem sta bila v ospredje postavljena delo z viri in jezikovna spretnost dijakov, saj so jim bili posredovani nekateri viri v tujem jeziku. Delo z viri spada k izkustvenemu učenju, kar dijakom omogoča večji izziv in večjo samoiniciativo pri iskanju pravih informacij. Dijaki so postavljeni pred nalogo, v kateri se morajo sami spopasti z različnimi informacijami, pri tem pa morajo oblikovati svoje mnenje in stališče do posredovanih podatkov ter te podatke pravilno povezovati
in jih posredovati dalje. V tem primeru so dijaki pripravili članke za razstavo o prvi svetovni vojni. S tem delom so v središče postavljeni dijaki, ki se znajdejo v vlogah dajanja napotkov in posrednika informacij preostalim v skupini. Učitelj igra le obrobno vlogo, pri kateri jih spodbuja in usmerja.

Use of Written Sources in History Lessons on the Topic »World War I«

The learning unit World War I is a good example of working with various sources, which we must be able to divide into important and marginal ones. Focus was placed on working with sources and the linguistic ability of secondary school students, since some of the sources they were given were in a foreign language. Working with sources falls under experiential learning, which presents a greater challenge to the students and enables greater self-initiative in searching for the right information. The students were faced with an assignment in which they had to tackle various pieces of information, form their own opinions and attitudes towards the provided data, correctly link this data and pass it on. In this specific case the students prepared articles for the exhibition on World War I. By doing so the students were placed in the limelight, finding themselves in the role of giving instructions to others in the group and being providers of information. The teacher holds only a marginal role, encouraging and guiding them.
