Izvleček
V prispevku je predstavljena izvenšolska aktivnost v okviru podaljšanega bivanja, ki je del vsakdana večine otrok na razredni stopnji. Ker vse bolj poudarjamo gibanje in učenje v naravi, smo načrtovali, da z oddelkom podaljšanega bivanja izvedemo dejavnosti na bližnjem travniku, kjer smo učenci spoznavali in nabirali travniške rastline. Učenci so se seznanili še z zelišči, ki so jih nabrali v okolici šole in na šolskem vrtičku, ki je tudi naša učilnica na prostem. Seznanili so se s herbarijem in spoznali pripravo rastlin za izdelavo herbarija. V učilnici na prostem so pripravili rastline za sušenje in jih kasneje po navodilih oblikovali v osebni herbarij. Zelišča, ki smo jih nabrali v zeliščnem vrtu in v okolici šole, smo uporabili in z njimi pripravili napitke in čaje. Dejavnosti so bile usmerjene v trajnostni razvoj in uporabnost doma izdelanih pripravkov za zdrav način življenja.
Abstract
Meadow and Herb Garden as Stimulating Learning Environments
This paper looks at extracurricular activities during after-school care, which is standard for most primary school children. As we now place increased emphasis on exercise and nature-based learning, we conducted these activities with an after-school playgroup in the nearby meadow, where pupils would learn about and find meadow flora. They received information about herbs they had collected around the school and in the school garden, which also serves as an outdoor classroom. They learnt about herbaria and how to prepare plants for them. During the activity, each pupil prepared the plants for drying before creating a herbarium according to the instructions. We made beverages and teas using herbs in our herb garden and around the school. The activities centred on sustainability and the applicability of homemade compounds for a healthy lifestyle.
