Članek obravnava uporabo umetne inteligence pri poučevanju matematike v dveh različnih izobraževalnih
okoljih: na Kitajskem in v Sloveniji. Predstavljena je primerjalna analiza dveh inteligentnih učnih sistemov
– Squirrel AI, ki temelji na tehnologiji strojnega učenja (SU; angl. machine learning – ML), ter Astre AI, slovenskega orodja, ki temelji na velikih jezikovnih modelih (VJM; angl. large language models – LLM). Kitajska študija z 203 srednješolci je eksperimentalno potrdila večjo učinkovitost učenja z uporabo Squirrel AI v primerjavi s klasičnim poučevanjem. V slovenskem primeru gre za refleksijo dijakinje, ki je redno uporabljala Astro AI za samostojno učenje. Rezultati potrjujejo, da umetna inteligenca prispeva k boljši individualizaciji, večji motivaciji in hitrejšemu usvajanju vsebin. Analiza poudari tudi razlike med tehnologijama SU in VJM, nakaže prednosti in omejitve uporabe teh orodij ter opozori na nekatere etične dileme.
Abstract
Comparative Analysis of AI-Supported Mathematics Teaching in Slovenia and China
The article explores the use of artificial intelligence in mathematics education across two distinct educational contexts: China and Slovenia. It presents a comparative analysis of two intelligent learning systems – Squirrel AI, which is based on machine learning (ML) technology, and Astra AI, a Slovenian tool powered by large language models (LLMs). A Chinese study involving 203 high school students experimentally demonstrated that learning with Yixue Squirrel AI was more effective than traditional teaching methods. The Slovenian case study presents a reflective account by a student who regularly used Astra AI for independent learning. The findings indicate that artificial intelligence enhances individualisation, increases motivation, and accelerates content acquisition. The analysis also underscores the differences between ML and LLM technology, outlines the strengths and limitations of these tools, and raises ethical dilemmas related to their application.
