Preverjanje znanja z aplikacijo Wordwall

V sodobnem načinu poučevanja in pridobivanja znanja se postavlja vprašanje, kako naj učenci prikažejo oziroma dokažejo pridobljeno znanje. Tradicionalne oblike preverjanja znanja niso primerne za današnje generacije učencev, tako imenovane digitalne domorodce, kot jih je poimenoval Marc Prensky v svojem članku Digital Natives. Tudi formativno spremljanje spodbuja drugačne oblike preverjanja znanja. Ena izmed možnih oblik avtentičnega preverjanja znanja je uporaba spletne aplikacije Wordwall, ki je dosegljiva na spletnem naslovu http://wordwall.co.uk/. Spletna in namizna različica aplikacije učencem omogoča drugačen, prijaznejši način predstavitve oz. dokazovanja lastnega znanja s pomočjo uporabe sodobne tehnologije. Z nekaj koraki so lahko učenci pri pouku matematike sestavili zanimive interaktivne naloge na temo Pitagorov izrek. S preverjanjem in razumevanjem učnih ciljev danega poglavja, načrtovanjem nalog ter izdelavo interaktivnih nalog so učenci preverjali znanje in nadgrajevali svoje digitalne kompetence. Preprosta izdelava križank, parov, vislic in več kot 30 ostalih iger v interaktivni obliki, izdelanih v manj kot minuti, ki so dosegljiva učencem na vseh sodobnih napravah, je dovolj dober razlog, da z enostavnim in kakovostnim programom ustvarjamo kreativno in spodbudno učno okolje za svoje učence in dijake.

Abstract

Knowledge Assessment with Wordwall Application

In the contemporary method of teaching and acquiring knowledge the question arises as to how pupils should demonstrate or prove the knowledge they have acquired. Traditional forms of knowledge assessment are not suitable for today’s generations of pupils, the so-called digital natives, as referred to by Marc Prensky in his article “Digital Natives”. Formative assessment also promotes different forms of knowledge assessment. One potential form of authentic knowledge assessment is the use of the Wordwall online application, which is accessible on the website http://wordwall.co.uk/. The online and desktop version of this application enables pupils to demonstrate or prove their own knowledge in a different, friendlier way by using modern technology. In just a few steps pupils were able to prepare interesting interactive tasks during Mathematics class on the topic of the Pythagorean theorem. By assessing and understanding the learning objectives of a given chapter, by planning tasks, and by making interactive tasks the pupils assessed their knowledge and upgraded their digital competences. The easy-to-make crossword, match up, hangman and more than 30 other games in interactive form, made in under a minute and accessible to pupils on all modern devices, is a good enough reason to set up a creative and stimulating learning environment for our pupils and secondary school students with this easy-to-use and quality computer program.
