Povzetek

V prispevku obravnavamo spremembe, vezane na samopodobo dijakov s primanjkljaji na posameznih področjih učenja, ki se zaradi prehoda iz osnovne v srednjo šolo pojavijo tekom šolskega leta. Osredinili smo se na srednješolsko populacijo, ki se izobražuje v programih srednjega poklicnega izobraževanja. V empiričnem delu prispevka predstavljamo ugotovitve, do katerih smo prišli na podlagi raziskave, v katero smo zajeli 417 dijakov (359 fantov in 58 deklet) prvega letnika, od tega 105 s primanjkljaji na posameznih področjih učenja. Ugotavljamo, da imajo dijaki s primanjkljaji na posameznih področjih učenja slabšo samopodobo kot njihovi sošolci brez posebnih potreb ter da se je ta od inicialnega do finalnega merjenja še poslabšala. Menimo, da lahko z oblikovanjem celostne mreže pomoči ugodno vplivamo na samopodobo dijakov in s tem na uspešnost prehoda iz osnovne v srednjo šolo.

Abstract

Transition from Primary to Secondary School and Its Impact on the Self-Image of Students with Deficiencies in Individual Learning Areas in Vocational Secondary Education Programmes

The paper discusses the changes to the self-image of students with deficiencies in individual learning areas that occur during the school year due to the transition from primary to secondary school. We have focused on the secondary school population receiving education in vocational secondary education programmes. The empirical part of the paper presents the findings obtained with a survey that encompassed 417 first-year secondary school students (359 boys and 58 girls), of whom 105 had deficiencies in individual learning areas. It has been established that the secondary school students with deficiencies in individual learning areas have a poorer self-image than their classmates without special needs, and that this self-image has worsened further between the initial and final measurement. It is believed that by forming a comprehensive aid network we could have a beneficial impact on the self- image of secondary school students and, consequently, on the successfulness of their transition from primary to secondary school.
