Povzetek
Prispevek obravnava razvijanje vizualne pismenosti v okviru interdisciplinarnega tematskega sklopa (ITS-a) v programu gimnazija na Srednji šoli in gimnaziji Kočevje v šolskih letih 2019/2020 in 2020/2021. Ta temelji na uporabi likovnega snovanja kot metode za razširjanje in poglabljanje umetnostnozgodovinskega znanja ter doseganje ciljev z afektivne ga in vzgojnega področja. Prek likovne aktualizirane reinterpretacije umetnostne dediščine kočevskega in ribniškega lokalnega okolja so dijaki poglabljali svoj odnos z umetnino in jo komentirali onkraj prostora besednega diskurza. S tem so razvijali vizualno pismenost kot sposobnost interpretacije vizualnih sporočil in ustvarjanje novih vizualnih del, torej vizualno izražanje lastnih konceptov, misli in namer.
Abstract
Art History Lessons as Proving Ground for Visual Literacy Development: Case Study
This article focuses on visual literacy development in the context of an interdisciplinary thematic cluster in the grammar school programme at the Kočevje Secondary School and Grammar School in the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 school years. It was based on visual design to broaden and increase the knowledge of the history of art and achieve affective and educational goals. The students strengthened their relationship with art and commented on it beyond verbal discourse, i.e., through an artistic reinterpretation of the art heritage of the local environment of Kočevje and Ribnica. As a result, they developed visual literacy as a skill to interpret visual messages and create new visual works. In other words, they could visually express their own concepts, thoughts, and intentions.
